FLORENCE, S.C. — Pat Costin drove in six runs, but Florence-Darlington Technical College came up just short in a 14–13 loss to Harford Community College at Dailey Field.
Florence-Darlington battled until the final out in a high-scoring contest, rallying for four runs in the ninth inning before falling one run shy. The Stingers' offense was explosive throughout the game, totaling 16 hits and receiving standout performances from multiple players. Costin led the way, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and six RBIs. Tristan Strickland added four hits and scored four runs, while Jake Zehner launched a home run and drove in three runs. Jake Little also homered and collected two RBIs in the effort.
On the mound, Jackson Mullen made the start, allowing six earned runs over four innings. Peyton Rogers, Dylan Shaffer, Bryson Harper, and Nick Cappello each appeared in relief as the Stingers worked to keep the game within reach. Despite the offensive production, four defensive errors proved costly in the tightly contested matchup.
Florence-Darlington showed resilience throughout the game with its late comeback attempt, but Harford Community College was able to hold on for the victory.
