Florence-Darlington Tech Stingers Softball Signs Hanna Pamplico Stand-out

Florence-Darlington Technical College’s softball team, the Tech Stingers, has recruited some local talent for next year’s squad. Hanna-Pamplico High School Raider Brittany Owens signed her official letter of intent to play softball for Tech softball head coach Heber Watson next fall.

Owens was joined by her high school Principal and coach, FDTC head coach Watson and her family for the signing ceremony at Hanna-Pamplico High School. The Raider’s third base player was also named to the all state and Morning News post-season teams.

Tech Stinger Coach Watson said he recruited Owens after watching her play. “I was impressed,” said Watson. “She has a good arm and is a good hitter too.” Owens said she wants to attend Tech for two years and then transfer to a four year college.
