FDTC Men Stingers Finish Winning Season

The Tech Stingers men’s baseball season came to an end Saturday, May 13 with a loss in the N-J-C-Double A Region Ten Tournament championship game against Spartanburg Methodist.

The Stingers won their conference in regular season play and finish their season with an overall record of 41 wins to 16 losses.

Region Ten awards were handed out at the weekend tournament in Spartanburg with the Stingers sweeping the top spots.

Centerfielder Julius Dixon was named Player of the Year and Stinger Head Coach Curtis Hudson took Coach of the Year honors for Region Ten.

Pitcher Curtis Johnson, second baseman Sterling Dye and first baseman Michael Tollison were named to the Region Ten First Team
