Tech Stinger Men Go 1-3 in Twin Double Headers

The Tech Stinger men were victorious over North Carolina's Lenoir Community College with one win Saturday, but lost the three other matches in the weekend double headers. The Stingers lost the first game 4-5, but picked up an impressive win against Lenoir 13-3 in the nightcap. On Sunday, the Tech men fell short in both games losing 4-17 in the first and 1-8 in the second.

Rob Cooksey, Director of Institutional Marketing, said the 5-8 Stinger men were disappointed by the losses, "but they were extremely pleased with the home crowd turnout." The Stingers will play again this Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in a home game against Salem Community College at 5 p.m. The men travel this Friday for a game against Danville Community College. They'll also travel this weekend for double headers against Rockingham Community College with Saturday and Sunday double headers starting at 1 p.m. The Stinger women face in state rivals, Aiken Tech for a double header on Thursday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Freedom Florence.
