Legion Field

As the season gets underway, the Tech baseball squad will practice and play their games at Legion Field, former home of the Single A Toronto Blue Jays in the mid 80's. The facility seats approximately 2,500 with 500 seats being chair back, along with a full-scale concession stand for fans in attendance. Legion Field has state of the art "Triple A level" lights to allow night games and practices, in ground dugouts, and a upgraded sprinkler system to keep the surface in great playing shape. There is also a batting cage located down the right field line behind the Picnic area.

Every year Legion Field is being updated to be more player and fan friendly.

Softball
Freedom Florence

Since the opening of Freedom Florence in June of 1990, Freedom Florence has received many awards from the governing bodies of several national softball associations. In 1990 Freedom Florence was awarded, by the Sportsplex Operators and Developers Association (SODA), the National Facility Award in category II, Large Sports Complex.
The National Softball Association (NSA) has awarded Freedom Florence with a National Park Award from 1990 to the present. In 1996 the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) awarded us the Distinguished Service Award and in 1998 we received an Award of Excellence from the Southern Softball Association of America (SSAA).
