Steven Dill - Pitching Coach

Coach Dill was born and raised in Florence, SC. He was a 2002 graduate of South Florence High School. He was a 4 year letterman, 2 year team captain, and 2007 graduate of Coker College in Hartsville, SC. He is entering his 4th year as the Pitching Coach at Florence-Darlington Tech.

He served as the Pitching Coach for the Florence American Legion team from 2004-2007. During that time, the team played in 3 state tournaments and 3 state semifinals. He also served as the Pitching Coach for South Florence High School in 2007 and 2008, and helped lead the Bruins to 2 playoff appearances and one district title. He served as the Pitching Coach at Berkeley High School in 2009 and helped lead the Stags to the playoffs.

In his 3 years at Florence-Darlington Tech, Coach Dill’s pitching staff has posted a 2.90 ERA, and led Region X in ERA twice (2010, 2011). During that time, he has coached two MLB draft picks (Spencer Jordan, Christian Garcia) and 6 Division 1 signees. (Spencer Jordan, Will Chandler, Sean Townsley, Hunter Privette, Kris Nelson, Christian Garcia). His 2012 staff (Region X Regular Season Champions) posted a 3.05 ERA, the highest ERA in his 3 years.
